After finishing the insane Martin fantasy series , I decided to take a break with some chick lit. As I've mentioned before, I've been finding it hard to find readable chick lit lately, despite the glut of pink covers on the market. So, I did some research, reading "best chick lit" lists on Amazon and culling the reviews on Trashionista before mooching what I hoped would be a couple of hits.

Two Books to Avoid

The only time I buy books from the supermarket is if I'm stressed out before a trip and have no chance to get to a real bookstore. Not because I don't think supermarkets should sell books (frankly, I think every kind of store should sell books), but because I like to support independent and used bookstores whenever I can. But, with precious little time between shopping for groceries to take to Lake Powell and actually leaving for Lake Powell, I was forced to do it.
