Use Google to find free music

This is less design-related and more an interesting way to use a Google Search to find open music collections online. Put the following code into a Google Search, but substitute your favorite band name for "Tortoise":

-inurl:(htm|html|php) intitle:"index of" +"last modified" +"parent directory" +description +size +(wma|mp3) "Tortoise"

The search should yield a listing of open directories containing mp3 files.

pencils pencils pencils.

Bob Truby, art teacher and pencil collector, built this virtual gallery of brand-name pencils - 132 brands of pencils to be exact - as an ode to a medium whose golden age has passed. This web site reminds me of another virtual gallery which has long been a favorite site of mine, the gallery of lost cassette tapes.

I'm looking forward to the gum eraser web site.
